 2008 Regional Transportation Plan: Making the Connections
Adopted May 2008
On May 8, 2008, the Regional Council of the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) adopted the 2008 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP): Making the Connections. The RTP is the culmination of a multi-year effort involving stakeholders from across the SCAG Region. We proudly present the final 2008 RTP below, developed by the region and for the region.

Amendment #4 to the 2008 Regional Transportation Plan
Adopted November 2010
On November 4, 2010, the Regional Council of the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) adopted Amendment #4 to the 2008 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). The Amendment was developed as a response to changes to projects in the 2008 RTP. A total of 5 projects are being modified or added in these Amendments, with a majority of the changes being minor in nature, including changes to completion years, as well as minor modifications to project scopes, costs, and funding.

Amendment #3 to the 2008 Regional Transportation Plan and Amendment #08-34 to the 2008 Regional Transportation Improvement Program
Adopted April 2010
On April 1, 2010, the Regional Council of the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) adopted Amendment #3 to the 2008 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and Amendment #08-34 to the Regional Transportation Improvement Program. The Amendments were developed as a response to changes to projects in the 2008 RTP. A total of 327 projects are being modified or added in these Amendments, with a majority of the changes being minor in nature, including changes to completion years, as well as minor modifications to project scopes, costs, and funding.

On December 3, 2009, the Regional Council of the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) adopted Amendment #2 to the 2008 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and Amendment #08-24 to the Regional Transportation Improvement Program. The Amendments were developed as a response to changes to projects in the 2008 RTP. A total of 81 projects are being modified or added in these Amendments, with a majority of the changes being minor in nature, including changes to completion years, as well as minor modifications to project scopes, costs, and funding.

On June 4, 2009, the Transportation Committee of the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) acknowledged a request by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) to add the Fullerton Transportation Center to the Strategic Plan project list of the 2008 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP).

On April 2, 2009, the Transportation Committee of the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) acknowledged a request by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) to add the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (SARTIC) to the Strategic Plan project list of the 2008 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP).
